Tribute to our late friend Mark Tomlinson : Please save the dates!
Birmingham Irish • September 17, 2020
Earlier this year, we at Birmingham Irish lost a very beloved friend of ours, local musician Mark Tomlinson.
A truly remarkable person who never failed to brighten up a room, Mark was well known on the Irish music scene in our city and was rarely ever seen without his beloved Bodhran.
To remember his anniversary and honour his memory, a wonderful tribute will take place over the weekend of the 27th and 28th of March 2021, with a mass at Holy Souls Parish Church, a Bodhran Master Class at St Anne's Parish Hall and a series of spectacular performances from musicians both local to Birmingham and from Ireland.
All of these events will be subject to future restraints of the pandemic, however we would love for as many people to attend as possible, and it would mean so much to the family and friends of Mark, and also to us, if you could note this date in the calendar to keep it free.
Thank you so much!
