Birmingham Irish • Aug 24, 2023

Birmingham Festival 2023 has now come to an end, which was in celebration of the one year anniversary for the Birmingham Commonwealth games 2022.

This festival was held in Centenary Square from 28th July until 6th August, each evening there was a “Twilight Takeover” from 7pm – 9pm in which, Opus offered different organisations the chance to take over the stage with a 2 hour spectacle performance. Birmingham Irish Association and Ceol Creatives completed the Twilight Takeover on Monday 31st July.

We would like to say thank you to Birmingham Festival 23, OPUS & Birmingham City Council for giving us the opportunity to bring the Irish culture to our wonderful City. The 2 hour show was a huge success, with every talented artist taking the stage by storm.

A special thank you to Jobe Baker-Sullivan, Sinead McTernan & Trudy McGroarty for having the vision and completing lots of hard work behind the scenes, in order to produce the extravaganza of the Irish in our community who we are very proud of.

We would also like to say a massive thank you to our phenomenal team of Irish musicians and performers:
