Our Tablet Entertainment & Library Service (update)

Birmingham Irish • October 24, 2020

As you many already know, we at Birmingham Irish have extended many of our services this year in order to reach as many people as possible and to give a well-needed boost to our community, both physically and mentally.

With the help of our funders at the Department of Foreign affairs ESP, The Big Lottery and Birmingham City Council we have been able to launch and continually operate our incredibly popular tablet entertainment library service this year to help so many clients to battle loneliness and boredom whilst self-isolating.
To date, we have lent 80 iPads filled with vibrant entertainment content such as movies, TVs, apps and games to vulnerable people throughout our city and this service will be there for our clients and community as long as needed.
If you know someone who is self-isolating and would benefit from our tablet entertainment library service, please give us a call on 0121 647 5105.

One client said;
“Once someone from Birmingham Irish Association showed me how to use the tablet, it got easier to use and I feel so much more in touch with the outside world as a result of this. I’m delighted to have been offered it and thank you so much to you all.”
