Meet our team! BIA Emotional Support Worker, Rachel Callaghan

Birmingham Irish • December 18, 2021

As we venture together as a community into a post-pandemic Birmingham, it's incredibly important to reflect on the power of wellbeing and kindness in this, still very tricky, period.

It's safe to say that the pandemic has affected each and every one of us, however, the sheer popularity of our Emotional Support Project is showing that the children in our city are in serious need of a warm hand, to guide them in bettering their mental health.

To guide those children of primary school age, we are incredibly proud to have our wonderful Emotional Support Worker, Rachel, on board with us.

Through kindness, gentleness and warmth, Rachel creates a safe space for children to discuss their feelings openly, both in one to one and group sessions, so trust and peace of mind can ultimately be established.

Thank you so much Rachel for all the incredible work you do for our youngest generation in our city. Each day, you are ensuring that the next generation of individuals feel empowered, happy and strong, both now and in the years to come.

The next edition of our newsletter will feature another fantastic staff member from our organisation, so make sure to stay tuned!
