Birmingham Irish Association Health Day Event – Jan 2025

Birmingham Irish • February 22, 2025

On Tuesday 28th January, our Health enablement team hosted a ‘Health Day Event’ within the Tuesday club.

Representatives from agencies we work alongside to support our community were in attendance this included:

- Carers at Heart

- Act on Energy

- Age UK Birmingham & Sandwell

The Tuesday club had over 70 attendees who were very interested and engaged when speaking to the other agencies. It was amazing for the members to access valuable information and support.

Carers at Heart provided health and lifestyle checks.

Act on Energy were able to give people advice and information regarding their energy bills and the services that energy companies provide.

Age UK Birmingham & Sandwell gave out a range of advice on a number of issues, including digital awareness.

Several members have already signed up to attend a digital awareness session with Age UK which we will be hosting soon, more details to follow.

This was another very successful Health event, with lots of positive feedback from the attendees. We would like to say a huge thank you to our Health Enablement staff Emma & Bernie for organising this great event. Also a huge thank you to all the agencies that made this day possible and provided such a great amount of information and support.
