Thanks to all who joined our Pub Bombings Memorial 2021

Birmingham Irish • December 18, 2021

As winter arrives, so do crisper mornings, darker evenings and thoughts of the festive period, and also brings our annual Birmingham Pub Bombings memorial to commemorate the 21 lives tragically lost 47 years ago.

In 2020, it was with a heavy heart that our annual memorial was taken online along with our prayers, thoughts and memories due to the ongoing pandemic. This year, however, we were delighted to be able to gather together in person by the Trees Memorial to share a wonderful remembrance ceremony once again.

Along with all the relatives of the 21 who passed that night, we were also honoured to welcome Adrian O'Neill, Irish Ambassador for the UK, Andy Street, Mayor of Birmingham and also Jess Philips, Birmingham MP to commemorate with us.

As an Association, we would like to thank all those who joined us in remembering lives lost and showing support for the relatives left behind. Through our gatherings, we provide comfort and ensure the legacies and spirit of the 21 live on, always.
