The Schools Cultural Project (an update)

Birmingham Irish • November 4, 2021

Here at the Birmingham Irish Association, we take immense pride in how we stand by our wonderful community, by providing quality and bespoke services with the warmth of an Irish family, not only through our care services, but also in our Culture department too.

Since 2021, our Culture Department have been responding to the devastating aftermaths of the pandemic by introducing celebration and education of traditional Irish music in our local primary schools, through the launch of our Schools Cultural Project.

Funded by the Irish Embassy, the aim of the project is to inspire and educate our younger generations through the medium of Irish cultural, traditional music, in addition to improving creativity, discipline, mental health and the logical side of the children’s' brains, the cerebral cortex.

Due to a renewal of our funding and circumstances surrounding the pandemic, we are now in the position to offer these sessions to as many schools as possible, which we are absolutely delighted about, and we thank the Irish Embassy wholeheartedly for this wonderful opportunity.
