Meet our team! BIA Driver, Winston Francis

Birmingham Irish • March 29, 2021

Over the past year, so many changes have taken place in our organisation, although our main goal to provide vital care for our Birmingham and Irish communities, has always stayed the same.

Throughout these changes, there has been a particular member of staff whose flexibility and reliability we depend on more than ever. This staff member is our wonderful driver, Winston Francis.

Since Winston joined the team, he has played an incredibly important role within our organisation, as without him, our very popular pick up and drop off service for our dementia patients would be impossible to offer to families. To be able to provide not only peace of mind to relatives, but also a good old sing song on the way home for our clients means the world, and we thank you so much.

Since the pandemic began, Winston's role has of course changed, along with our services and projects we are currently managing. Without him, it's safe to say that delivering to the sheer amount who have called on us for care, would be impossible. Every week, he drives our staff across our city, so they can deliver shopping bags and hot meals to over a hundred people in desperate need of our help.

Thank you for everything you have and continue to do for us Winston, you make a massive difference to so many people's lives across our city, every single week.

Our next edition of our newsletter will feature another fantastic staff member from our organisation, so make sure to stay tuned!

BIA Driver, Winston Francis
