Meet our team! BIA Health Enablement Outreach Worker, Bernie Walsh

Birmingham Irish • August 26, 2021

During our many years, we have seen our wonderful Birmingham Irish diaspora through many changes, and watch it slowly grow and evolve into something beautiful as a result. Throughout these changes, we are proud to say that the nature of our services have always remained true to their word; to offer warmth, care and support to others, with gentleness as if they were our own.

To be there for all members of our diaspora in this way, would truly be impossible without the kind-hearted and wonderful people in our team, one of which who embodies all these characteristics, is our lovely Health Enablement Outreach Worker, Bernie Walsh.

As we emerge from the pandemic, we have found that there has never been more demand for care such as Bernie's, as hundreds of individuals are facing unique and fresh battles every day, when adjusting to this new way of life. Luckily, Bernie and the team have been able to offer warmth, kindness and strength to every single person throughout, to remind that they are not alone in their challenges, for we are always there to help.

As an Association, we want to thank Bernie so much for the incredible difference you are making to hundreds of lives across our city. Without the brightness you bring, it's safe to say that many would struggle to find a light at the end of this very long tunnel.

Our next edition of our newsletter will feature another fantastic staff member from our organisation, so make sure to stay tuned!
