Birmingham St Patrick’s Day Parade 2024 was a great success

Birmingham Irish • March 28, 2024

So, the dust has settled on the 2024 St Patrick's Parade.

We have now had time to catch our breath, have some much needed rest and reflect on its long awaited return.

Firstly we need to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported the parade and embraced our vision to take it back to its roots. It was by no means perfect and we have learned a lot which, going forward, will help to shape future parades and make the experience even more enjoyable.

We will be carrying out a community consultation in the next few weeks to gather your views ... at the end of the day it’s your parade. Maybe we can’t compete with Dublin and New York as the biggest parades in the world but we can certainly compete to be the best!

"We are currently crunching the numbers and we will be publishing the cost of running the parade via our website in due course."

Maurice Malone

CEO, Birmingham Irish Association
